A Gift to the Real Estate Industry

You all know that Social Media is one of my favorite topics!

Why?

Because I believe it's one of the most significant gifts given to the real estate industry, yet so few use it intentionally, you know to take advantage of all it offers.

Now, you also know I'm the "relationship" girl. I care about relationships and doing business by relationships more than anything else in the world!

So why Social Media?

Well, it's a vast relationship-building tool. Did you know the social media algorithms (specifically Facebook and Instagram) REWARD relationships? Think about that for a second; the more the algorithms know you have a relationship with someone, or when you show you have a relationship with someone, they share more of you with them, and them to you!

Social Media is FREE — I mean, you can pay for ads and boost things, but that is not part of the relational part of Social Media. Building relationships on social, showing up to engage and connect, yup, all free!

It's an extension of your database. If you don't realize that many of your clients, your sphere, or your future clients are on social media, then we need to change your thinking. They ARE on social; you just have to find them. Why wouldn't you want to be on a huge platform where your people, your audience, are literally sharing their lives daily?

And last but not least, you can broadcast! I used to do lead generation primarily one way, through phone calls, and oh my goodness, I HATED every second of it! Like hated them times infinity (did you just picture Buzz lightyear, too? LOL). Having the ability to broadcast and share messages that reach the masses is genuinely what I love about social media. It's a conversation-starting platform; did you ever think of that? And guess what conversations lead to relationships, and relationships lead to CONNECTIONS!

So I will leave you today with a question... Are YOU utilizing your social media platforms to their highest potential?

And if not, what can you do differently to make sure you're not just falling into the doom scrolls of social media but instead building relationships online and taking them offline?
