A Red Eye, a Hurricane and One Amazing Week in Orlando! (My NAR Wrap Up!)
It has been a WEEK! Actually... It’s been a month! And we’re only halfway through.
If you follow me over on the ‘gram - you’ve been able to watch the crazy goodness that was my week in Orlando.
If you weren’t following along... WHEW. After multiple changed flights, last minute red eyes, and flying through a HURRICANE - I finally arrived at NAR NXT, The REALTOR® Experience.
And let me tell you, the craziness was WORTH IT.
I began the trip Presenting as Vice Chair of the Leading Edge Advisory Board; where we held the responsibility of looking at the emerging issues that are externally affecting our industry. And I want to give a quick shoutout and a big thank you to Chair Mary Dykstra for doing an amazing job. I look forward to following in her footsteps next year as Chair; along with my new Vice Chair, Mike Artelli.
Up next was serving as a Member of the Strategic Planning Committee where we rolled out the new NAR Strategic Framework and Priorities for the Association and its Members going forward through 2025.
I also had the opportunity to present my Podcast Tips and Strategies! It was such a great presentation and I shared all of these keys tactics to building your Podcast;
Find your Niche! Before you begin recording, even before you choose a name... Figure out WHO you’re talking to! Are you going to be a Client Facing Podcast? Or an Industry Facing Podcast? WHO are you looking to help?
Batch your Content! This is SO important! Before your very first episode airs, have 10-15 episodes already recorded. Especially if you are doing a weekly show! This will give you enough cushion to not stress for the first few months, and give you ample time to market your new show.
Find Guests! Anyone in your life; Clients, Industry Friends, Co-workers... etc. Anyone who you feel comfortable with and that can share a unique perspective on a problem you’re trying to help solve for your listeners!
Repurpose your Content! Not only should you be recording your episodes (this is a give-in), hit screen-record, or throw your phone on a tripod and use the video content for YouTube, Reels, to share on Facebook... anywhere you can post a video!
Don’t Overthink It! Your episodes don’t need to be an hour... I keep mine anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes long depending on the topic, or if i'm hosting a solo episode or inviting a guest.
Invest in DECENT Equipment! Nothing crazy, but get ahold of a good camera, a clear mic, and a bright ring light. They all make a difference. I’ll link my tech tools list below for you!

Last but not least... I rounded out my week in Orlando speaking about one of my favorite topics; Building a Teamerage. I shared the story behind why I started my Teamerage, The RECollective®, and why we believe so strongly in keeping the benefits of a team while giving our Agents the opportunity to gain their independence.
If you’d like to read more about The RECollective® and why I believe in our Teamerage model, I encourage you to check out this awesome article by Real Trends, featuring yours truly!

All in all, my time in Orlando at NAR NXT, The REALTOR® Experience, was INCREDIBLE. I was given so many amazing opportunities to not only share my story - but to listen to so many other inspiring leaders in our field and learn from them. Nothing compares to being able to network and build relationships with some of the most committed agents in the industry.
We rounded out our week of adventure, learning, and fun with a REALTOR® night out at Universal Studios - and it was a BLAST.
But now that I’m home and reflecting... I realize; I just can’t wait for our next big event.
If you have yet to attend a NAR Annual - you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD! Plus, next year - it's taking place in my backyard, Anaheim, CA!
So I will see YOU there!
