I can't believe this still happens
Want to know something that blows.my.mind...when you have a great call with someone and want to hire them for their services, and then there’s no follow-up. 🤯
When this happens it immediately makes me step back and think, “if you’re not going to check in with me, are you really capable of handling my business?”
Too harsh? Well, here’s an even harder truth - if you’re guilty of not following up with people then you’re leaving money on the table and potentially a really bad taste in their mouth.
Following up with someone is more than just trying to close the sale, it’s about building relationships and letting that person know that you value them and are excited about the potential of working together.
I get it, we all get busy, and things distract us - we’re human BUT you should put a system in place to help you follow up with intention.
Here’s the process that I personally use.
2-Step Follow-Up Process
After the call, send a text, video, email or note letting them know how much you’ve enjoyed meeting with them and when they can expect to hear from you again. You can easily create a canned email or text and then personalize it.
Add a reminder in your calendar or task management system to follow up.
And here’s an important reminder, when a lead tells you “no” you shouldn’t give up or write them off, they just may not be ready yet. Offer them opportunities to keep in touch with you like joining your email list or following you on social.
Try implementing this in your business and build those connections friend!
