The Question That Changed Everything

I want to share a moment that changed everything for me.

There’s a moment every book begins… Not with a contract or an outline, but with a question you can’t unhear.

For me, that moment came at a speaker event last year. I was sitting in the room, listening, taking notes, doing what I’ve always done. Learning. Growing. Staying curious.

Then my mentor, Seth Mattison, asked a question I wasn’t expecting:

“What’s the story on your heart that needs to be told, that you aren’t telling?”

It landed differently. Not professionally, but personally.

In an instant, I was back in my childhood. Feeling unseen. Wanting connection so badly. Learning early how to read a room, build relationships, and become someone people felt safe with.

And that’s when it clicked.

My passion for relationships and human connection wasn’t something I learned later in life. It was something I needed first.

I flew home the next day and did something I hadn’t planned on doing. I wrote the first chapter.

No outline.
No agenda.
Just truth.

That chapter became the foundation. And once it was written, the rest followed. The stories. The lessons. The framework. The message.

What started as a single question became The Relationship Advantage. Not because I wanted to write a book, but because there was a story that finally needed to be told.

I’m sharing this because if you’ve ever felt a nudge you couldn’t explain… a story you keep circling back to… or a truth you know matters…

That might be the beginning of something, too.

This book exists because I finally listened. And I can’t wait for you to read it.

Every book starts with a question. This one started with the courage to answer it.
