As we move from Summer into Fall, it’s time we start looking ahead to next year. That’s right; we’re almost in the 4th Quarter!
Every year, during the 4th Quarter, I like to lock myself in a room (with drinks & snacks, of course) and my laptop. I sit down, free myself of distractions, and PLAN.
From upcoming trips to the state of my Pipeline, and even writing down goals and inspirations…. I plan it all. But as we approach the 4th Quarter, I want to share the top three focuses of my personal “planning day.”
- Setting your Goals and Intentions is IMPORTANT. Physically writing them down makes them real. But to truly begin to “manifest” them (I know, buzzword, but bear with me!), you must first be HONEST with yourself. Ask questions like “How many transactions do I need to close? How many clients do I want to help? How do I begin on the path to achieving these goals?”. And even if it’s scary, you have to audit yourself!
- Building your Pipeline is up next. Jump into your CRM of choice. And before you get started, clean it up! Pro Tip: When going through your Database, look for whose numbers or emails you’re missing. This is a great reason to reach out to people and restart your conversations. After you’re done with that, start asking yourself these questions; Who’s on your watchlist that has recently shown interest in buying a home? Who has been referred to you, and how should you begin reaching out to them and building a possible connection? What transactions do you have coming up, and how can you turn that transaction into a referral that will lead you to new sales? Write it all down, log it electronically, and thank yourself later.
- Last but not least, in my day of 4th Quarter Planning… STREAMLINE YOUR SYSTEMS. What systems are you currently using to help run your business? Can you find better, more reliable systems? How is your business structured? Does it need to be updated or wholly restructured? What tools or tech can you add to how you work to make your deadlines and goals achievable? Now is the time to tap into how you run your business, from the day-to-day to the big-picture product, and fine-tune the systems and structures you’ve been using.
If you aren’t sure about your systems, tools & tech – I’ve got you covered. And taking the jump now, during your 3rd Quarter, is essential. Because once 4th Quarter begins, it’s already too late, friends.
